This project is inspired by 'The Ballerina Project' by Dane Shitagi which aims to photograph ballerinas in a different manner to typical “dance photography”, choosing to place them against urban backgrounds and in unusual poses.
Shitagi's project has inspired many homages across the world and this is Birmingham's.
